Welcome to Mom in a Boy's Jungle

Hi you guys and welcome to my blog!

Now you may be wondering what you will find here so let's talk a little about that.
What you'll find here is a variety of things. So let's touch on each one of those things briefly.

1. Disney Tips, Tricks, and Ideas

So there are tons on Disney channels on youtube and blogs so there are things that they all cover and they all have an idea of what they like. It may not be what you like and I will not pretend that the things that I say are things that you will like and want to do. However, these are just my thoughts and opinions and you may take them and use them or just keep them in mind.

2. Mom Life

We all know that one mom out there who thinks they know the best and I don't think I'm one of those moms. We don't get handbooks at the hospital when we have a kid. No this is all play as we go. Now some of these things you find here may be ideas you haven't thought of or you don't know if they would work for you. You can see how things work for me here. We'll also discuss some other things such as moms who need help. There is no shame mom... Yes, you... The mom who feels like it would be a weakness to ask for help. It is not a weakness. I repeat it is not a weakness. I say it from personal experience.

3. Cooking and Baking

We all know how to cook and we all know how to bake. Well okay maybe not all but there are things in my house that my kids love and there are some kids who would probably turn their little noses up at it. I've got some picky eaters to include my husband. But when we find an idea we like we try to rotate it in.

4. Books

I'll share with you what I'm currently reading and what I think of that book. I'll share recommendations and even show you the newest books that I've gotten. So be on the lookout for those recommendations, book reviews, and other fun things dealing with books.

5. Movies & Television

Oh, this one will be fun... This is one of those that I may touch on a movie that not everyone likes but I liked. Again these are opinions and they are my own so to each their own. However, I'll discuss the movies I've watched and television shows. I'll discuss what I like and what I don't like but be prepared these will all have a spoiler tag at the beginning of the blog. Haven't seen it yet and you don't want to spoil it for yourself save it for later and come back and read it.

6. Crochet

I've recently picked up a new hobby and I'm really trying my hardest at it. Currently, however, I've been a bit slackerish on it but that was due to a trip that we recently went on and I'm looking forward to getting back on track in this new year and hopefully setting up a full-time Etsy shop.

7. School Lunches

Let's face it there are always things that we want to try for our kids in their lunches from Pinterest and some of us I was one of them are too scared to try them out. Well, look no further because I'm willing to try new things in my kids' lunches now even if they at first don't seem like a willing participant in trying a new thing. Usually, they try it at home before they take it to school so it works in the long run.

8. Sports

Oh my gosh, this is one of those that is going to be hit or miss. I get so into a game and I'll forget about it. But hey what do I have to lose? Oh, probably viewers since I'm a Bama fan but I watch more than just Bama football. I even read the news when it comes to sports so you won't just see Alabama sports. Be prepared for the NFL and College football news to come and I'll even post some opinions on what I think.

9. News

Now this one seems a bit taboo. I'll tell you why it's because everyone has their own opinion and while no one person's opinion is the right one it can create a hostile environment. However, I for one will say that I will turn off comments or make a video private if I see that the comments are getting out of hand.

10. Do It Yourself

Now I don't really see a whole lot of this in my future but you never know what the future holds.
And any other things that seem like a great idea at the time. I'll play with the channel and see what sticks and what doesn't stick but hey you never know with the power of YouTube.

As of right now, I will post blogs Monday through Friday. I don't really want to dedicate a specific time slot as of right now on when the post will happen as I am just sort of playing with this and learning my way around.

August Wrap

Let's just go ahead and jump right on into it. The One by Kiera Cass Book 3 of 5 Page: 323 Published: June 5, 2014 Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Synopsis: When she was chosen to compete in the Selection, America never dreamed she would find herself anywhere close to the crown - or to Prince Maxon's heart. But as the end of the competition approaches, and the threats outside the palace walls grow more vicious, Ameica realizes just how much she stands to lose - and how hard she' ll have to fight for the future she wants. My Opinion: So much happens in this book. Just so much. I wanted to hate America so much for a short time. I wanted to but no matter how much more I read I could not hate her I just could not. And after a little while one of my most hated characters throughout the trilogy I could not hate either. I just couldn't. I wanted to but the more the book went on and the more things happened I ended up loving my most hated character even more. By the time the book ende...

So if I read a six book series then it would be blank out of thirty stars. I hope that explains it well. March Reads

I have been doing really well with reading however so as not to overwhelm myself we are sticking with the three book rule. Let's hope we really get somewhere with it again. So for March I want to read the following 3 books. Death Comes to Pemberly by P. D. James Synopsis: A rare meeting of literary genius: P. D. James, long among the most admired mystery writers of our time, draws the characters of Jane Austen’s beloved novel Pride and Prejudice into a tale of murder and emotional mayhem. It is 1803, six years since Elizabeth and Darcy embarked on their life together at Pemberley, Darcy’s magnificent estate. Their peaceful, orderly world seems almost unassailable. Elizabeth has found her footing as the chatelaine of the great house. They have two fine sons, Fitzwilliam and Charles. Elizabeth’s sister Jane and her husband, Bingley, live nearby; her father visits often; there is optimistic talk about the prospects of marriage for Darcy’s sister Georgiana. And preparations are under ...
