2022 Themes

I like to pick themes and things for the months to come. I am all about some good reads based off of a theme. I can always find something to read during a theme. I know it's weird to some people but it's what I've got and how I have managed to find my way through my massive TBR. 1300+ books I need some help. I have a problem with buying books. Lots of books. So let's look at the next 13 months.

December- I am going to be reading nothing but romance books. It will be any kind of romance book. Historical. Period. Smut. Happily Ever Afters. Everything that qualifies as Romance I am going to read. Why during December and not February? Well honestly I always love a good love story during the holidays.

January- I am going to be reading and picking out fantasy books. Your read that right. Fantasy. Dragons. Damsels in Distress. Knights of the Round Table. Damsels not in distress. Being Taken to far away lands and fairytale retellings all line up in this category.

February- What a beautiful month to read... Sci-Fi and Dystopian books! Le gasp you mean no Romance books for me during the month of Romance. That's exactly what I mean. Why should I read about romance when I see it every where during the month of February. Nope we are going for space adventures and words that have collapsed and are rebuilding. That's the choice for the month of love.

March- Drum roll. I've already through things through the ringer the last three months. So what did I decide to do for the month of March? Well let me tell you it's E-Books only for me during the month. Not Kindle Unlimited only books. I will probably still read some of these options but for the most part these are going to be books that I purchased on my kindle and I have not read. These books need love too you know.

April- Who would have through that we would already be into April at this point? I mean really let's talk about it for a second. It's a big month for me. I hit 14 years married to my soul mate. My other half. The one who tolerates all my bull shit. I mean he really does. The one who has stayed by me through thick and thin when it comes to all of my medical. So what did I decide for the month of April when it comes to reading? Classics. Contemporaries. It only seems fitting.

May- Let's talk about how many things I have to do during the month of May? Shall we? Not really. It's just a really busy month so we are going with something really easy to read during the month of May. We are going to sit down and read manga. I have many of them that I want to read and what better month to do that during one when I'm extremely busy during the month.

June- So I want to do something different for this month. I want to sit down and read using just my Kindle but I want to take it further than just e-books. I own many e-books on my kindle. I've got to look into extended memory for it or buy a new one. That's besides the point. I want to take the time and find some books on Kindle Unlimited and only on Kindle Unlimited to read.

July- So we are going back to the Romance genre for the month of July. I feel like it's a good month to sit back and read about love. It doesn't matter what kind of love. I am looking at it all. Happily Ever Afters. Dark Romance. I may even look at some of the ones that are considered Taboo. I think the most common Taboo I have seen is age gap. I'm not 100% sure. So if anyone wants to give me the run down there I'd be grateful.

August- We are picking the Fantasy torch back up. That's right we are going to go and start reading some good old fashion fantasy. I'm looking at dragons, witches, wizards, fairies, you name it I'm looking at it. I'm looking at adult fantasy. Young Adult. Middle school even. Nothing is off the table when it comes to good old fashion Fantasy.

September- You know what I'm going to throw a random item in here. I know that I could do this during the other months but this is one that I've really been thinking about as I've been typing this. I'm going to look at doing some good audiobooks. I've got audible and I've got a ton of books on there that I have not even listened to. I've been collecting them for some time and I'm just letting them sit there collecting dust so to speak. So let's do some audiobooks. I'll even look at some other books probably in the Dystopian/Sci-Fi/E-book area so have no fear other things will also be read but audiobooks are a good option too.

October- Let's just go ahead and say we all know where October is at! It's spooky month. Time to get out the thrillers and the mysteries. Heck even the horror even though I can't watch a horror movie to save my life. But I can read a horror book and play a horror game without blinking an eye. I think something is wrong with my brain if I can read it but can't watch it... What say you?

November- So I have managed to pick up almost all things a second time around so I'm going to be doubling up on some of them because we are down to the last months of the year. So for the month of November I'm going to be looking at Classics/Contemporaries and Manga. November is such a busy month for my family. School for the kids. I work. Husband works. There are holidays that the kids have out that we do errands. We start preparing for holiday meals. I've already started my Christmas shopping. We are a busy family when it comes to the month of November. As I've told my husband before the final months of the year are like a snowball they go by so fast. Because once October hits, it's like its bam bam bam. We have holidays during October for school. Fall Fest at school. We have Halloween. Then November rolls around and we've got Veteran's Day. An e-learning day. Then we get back into school for like a week before we are doing Thanksgiving break for the week. Then before you know it it's three weeks of school maybe before we are out for Christmas break and the new year. It's such a busy time when you are a family of four because not only do we have all of those things we have Soccer Try-Outs. And band practices and Christmas Concerts. There are so many things going on during these last few weeks of the year.

December- For the month of December I'm going to go back to Kindle Unlimited books only. And of course I'll read some e-books that I already own to but my focus is mostly going to be on Kindle Unlimited. I've got a fairly long list of books that I'd love to read that are only on Kindle Unlimited. Or at least by the time I get to them I'm still hoping that they are on Kindle Unlimited. I've got a few books on Kindle Unlimited that I've actually purchased the rest of the series because I enjoyed the first two books that I read for the series on Kindle Unlimited. I always make sure that I'm giving things more than on book on Kindle Unlimited to make sure that this is something I will still read once I purchase the rest of the series or the whole series once I started it on kindle unlimited.

I hope you all enjoy some of the reads that I get to during the year of 2022.

August Wrap

Let's just go ahead and jump right on into it. The One by Kiera Cass Book 3 of 5 Page: 323 Published: June 5, 2014 Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Synopsis: When she was chosen to compete in the Selection, America never dreamed she would find herself anywhere close to the crown - or to Prince Maxon's heart. But as the end of the competition approaches, and the threats outside the palace walls grow more vicious, Ameica realizes just how much she stands to lose - and how hard she' ll have to fight for the future she wants. My Opinion: So much happens in this book. Just so much. I wanted to hate America so much for a short time. I wanted to but no matter how much more I read I could not hate her I just could not. And after a little while one of my most hated characters throughout the trilogy I could not hate either. I just couldn't. I wanted to but the more the book went on and the more things happened I ended up loving my most hated character even more. By the time the book ende...
