Welcome to Part 1 of my Spooky Reads Recommendations.
All of these books are books that I have personally read. The only ones that I have not read yet is Tales from the Haunted Mansion. It's a book that I am possibly going to get to before the end of the year. So each year more parts should come if I can keep the blog updated. I hope to be able to do that. So this year I have a few parts to this. Each of these books have some form of spooky element to it. Take a dive into them yourself and find out why. Personal favorites will be marked in bold.

My Opinion:
I have not yet had the opportunity to read this one yet but if I get my other three finished then the hope is to be able to read it before the month is over.

Why It's On This List:
This book was one that kept me on the edge of my seat and really gave me an idea of a sub genre that I wanted really to dip my toes into. This book was amazing. The creepy and spooky factor in this was amazing and it's definitely a book I would read again every October if I didn't have a ton to read already.

Why It's On This List:
This book was one of the best books I read in a horror/thriller setting. This book was one of those that I couldn't stop reading. I was reading page after page after page well after I should have been going to bed. The first part of this book was gripping and held my attention from the word go.

Why It's On This List:
This book was amazing. My husband had been pestering me to read it and I finally picked it up and honestly it was a really good book. I'm glad that I did pick the book up and start to read it. I have started on book three recently after finishing book two last month. This book is amazing fun to read and if you haven't read it yet then you should get to it.

Why It's On This List:
Asylum, what can I say about this? This book was just so much fun to read I enjoyed the pictures and the story that obviously went with the pictures. I was reading this one evening and was so into the story that I heard no one come into the house and my husband said hello to me and I threw the book at him. I was so into the story and I was so involved that he freaked me out. This story is amazing and I highly recommend it.

Why It's On This List:
This book should not be judged by the cover. The book does seem like it plays off the story of Alice in Wonderland but the most similarity there is between this book and that story is the names. The occasional reference to characters from the story. I think this book is amazing fun and I cannot get over how different the zombies were in this book. Not what you would normally think. If you have not read this you should read it and keep an open mind when reading it.

Why It's On This List:
Holy heck this book was a bit to much for me. It was pretty amazing I will definitely say that but the one thing that really got me was how well written this was for a horror book. And the other thing that gets me is the fact that this book is in the middle grade area of the book store. If I an adult can't handle it because of how freaky it was.

I enjoyed this book a great deal and this is a book that I think that everyone should read.

This book was good I don't know if it should be on this list but I think that it's good at keeping you on the edge of your seat.

This book was great to read. A lot of people got to hung up on the historical part of the book but it does state that it is historical fiction. This book was a fun read and I enjoyed it for the story.
