Synopsis:

Faced with the choice of being married to a strange spirit or being made into dinner, Aoi creates a third option for herself!

Aoi Tsubaki inherited her grandfather’s ability to see spirits—and his massive debt to them! Now she’s been kidnapped and taken to Kakuriyo, the spirit world, to make good on his bill. Her options: marry the head of the inn her grandfather trashed, or get eaten by ayakashi. But Aoi isn’t the type to let spirits push her around, and she’s determined to redeem her grandfather’s IOU on her own terms!

Aoi wasn’t the only orphan her grandfather Shiro took in. Before she went to live with him, he rescued the spider demons Akatsuki and Suzuran and put them to work as unpaid servants! Now Aoi is questioning everything she thought she knew about her upbringing. What was Shiro up to? And more importantly, does that make the spider demons family?!

My Opinion:

I do not know how to handle this manga. I love every bit of this series! I kid you not it's one of the best series I have picked up. I have to say the fact that it draws on Beauty and the Beast themes definitely helps put this manga series in my radar. Now if only they would continue with this anime. Aoi managed to learn about demons from her grandfather even though he ended up giving her away to one of the demons that he created a large debt with she knew the things she needed in order to have a restaurant of her own so she could fullfil the IOU her grandfather left on her own terms and her food has helped her do that. All thanks to being taught how to cook for demons.

Photo found via Google A few years ago, 2016 to be exact, we took a trip to Disney World just the four of us. Usually, we have my parents with us when we go because the extra eyes on my two boys are always helpful because the little one still likes to bolt occasionally.
