Husband's Birthday

Today doesn't get much of a post. My husband's birthday is tomorrow and I'm trying to figure out what to do for him for his big day.

February Reads

So once again I'm going to stick to the rule of three for my TBR for the month of February. I had such an amazing read through though for January but I feel like if I push to much I'll lose that umph to read and I am trying not to go there again. That was a dark place in my life without my books to keep me company. 365 Days by Blanka Lipinska Book 1 of Three The sexy and deeply romantic internationally bestselling novel that inspired the blockbuster movie. Laura Biel and her boyfriend are on a dream vacation in beautiful Sicily. On the second day of their trip, her twenty-ninth birthday, she is kidnapped. Her kidnapper is none other than the head of a powerful Sicilian crime family, the incredibly handsome, young Don Massimo Torricelli, who is determined to possess her at all costs. Massimo has his reasons. During an earlier attempt on his life, a vision appeared before his eyes: a beautiful woman, identical to Laura. After surviving the attack, he vows that he will find the wo

Throwback 2018 Challenge

I'm always buying books and there are books that I purchased that I bought years ago and I still want to read them I just always have a reason not to read them and I'm really hoping that this will help me get through those books that I've purchased years ago. So right now I'm going to post the 2018 challenge. Now the idea for me for this challenge is to read one book a month that was published during the year of 2018. So let's see what books I've got that were published during the year of 2018. I also want to make note that the books that I will be listing here are books that I have already started reading because my biggest challenge is to finish books that I have already started. January I do not currently have any books started that was published during the month of January of 2018. February I do not currently have any books started that was published during the month of February of 2018. March Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi (3/6) April

A to Z Book Title Challenge

Let's talk about another challenge that I found a few years ago. I don't remember where I found it or I would credit it but it was a simple challenge really. You read books like you usually do. There is no read a book that has this in it. This is simply as you read you complete the alphabet. Now I've seen many versions of this but I'm going to post two different versions of this. I'll post the next version on Wednesday but today I'm going to talk about the A to Z Book Title challenge. So let's say I've just finished reading The Wood by Chelsea Bobulski. There are two ways that I could classify this particular book. I could classify it as a 'T' for The or I could classify it as 'W' for Wood. As such since many books often start with The I would classify it as 'W' because I do not think I own many books that start with a W. I own quite a few books that start with the letter 'T'. So I'll be posting here when I finish a

There are two ways that I could classify this particular book. I could classify it as a 'C' for Chelsea or I could classify it as 'B' for Bobulski. So you can either read books and choose to go for first names only or last names only or you can go for a mixture of both. So I'll be posting here when I finish a book. So for now I'm just going to write down the alphabet and hope that I ge

Challenging Myself To Read More

So I've been searching the internet for good challenges to do. I've found several and I plan to try many of them out. This just seems like something that would be fun to do and maybe help encourage me to read more. I may even include my two tiny humans in this. As I think this may help them find this encourages them. Especially if there is a prize at the end of the challenge to be had. I am going to start working on post to talk about the different challenges that I have found and see what I can do to start working on these challenges. I found one called a Seasonal Challenge. That one seems pretty easy to do and then there are also A-Z challenges. I've found so many of those that those can be done at the same time as any of the other challenges. I mean I'm excited to get this ball rolling. While most challenges start at the beginning of the year I'm not sure what I want to do but I'm going to probably start with the Seasonal Book Challenge. As it starts so muc

January Reads

Welcome to my To Be Read (TBR) of January. I never really stick with these but I try to when I can. They always make me feel like I am completing a goal or something along those lines when I look at it later in the month. Last year my life was a bunch of ups and downs. I wanted to read. I wanted to cook. I wanted to write. I wanted to do a lot of things but my anxiety and depression got the better of me. I was blue for most of 2020. So now I look at my bookshelves and think they've been neglected. I need to fix that and I've been dying to read for awhile now but wanted to wait until the new year and start fresh. I listed to a few audiobooks last month and I'll talk about those a little later. They were part of my Winter Reads Challenge. So without further ado let's get to it. So this month I plan on reading at minimum 3 books. I think that's a pretty decent goal for the month of someone who is just now starting to get back into reading. Black by T. L. Smith Book 1

Get to Know Your Blogger

You know getting started with a blog is one thing that you are never sure about until you truly sit down and actually start working on it. I never knew what to expect when I decided that I was going to go on this blogging adventure. Yeah sure school’s out and there is not much to discuss some days when it’s summer vacation. I thought about the topic that I would cover but why should I cover one topic when there are so many that I am passionate about. #Disney?! Oh yeah, I’m down for a good Disney trip and even sharing some tips and tricks that we have found that work for us. #Children?! Of course this one is going to happen. I am a mother after all and while I struggle through this life we call motherhood I want to share with you things that have worked for me or even just talk. #Do-It-Yourself? Oh heck yes, I’m more than willing to share my fails with you! I mean you’ll share with me right? Of course you will… well maybe not but that’s okay if you don’t. #Baking?! Oh man, I am

Welcome to Mom in a Boy's Jungle

Hi you guys and welcome to my blog! Now you may be wondering what you will find here so let's talk a little about that. What you'll find here is a variety of things. So let's touch on each one of those things briefly. 1. Disney Tips, Tricks, and Ideas So there are tons on Disney channels on youtube and blogs so there are things that they all cover and they all have an idea of what they like. It may not be what you like and I will not pretend that the things that I say are things that you will like and want to do. However, these are just my thoughts and opinions and you may take them and use them or just keep them in mind. 2. Mom Life We all know that one mom out there who thinks they know the best and I don't think I'm one of those moms. We don't get handbooks at the hospital when we have a kid. No this is all play as we go. Now some of these things you find here may be ideas you haven't thought of or you don't know if they would work
