August Reads

I am taking it slow right now. School has just started back and I'm wanting to read so many things however, I'm going to focus on just getting one book finished. I'm looking at getting a trilogy that I like finished. Okay like is an understatement I love this trilogy. I know that there are more books to the set but those three are like my go to when I need something good to read. Or something to help me with getting out of a reading slump. So without further ado we have my book for the month. The One by Kiera Cass Book 3 of 5 Page: 323 Published: June 5, 2014 Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Synopsis: When she was chosen to compete in the Selection, America never dreamed she would find herself anywhere close to the crown - or to Prince Maxon's heart. But as the end of the competition approaches, and the threats outside the palace walls grow more vicious, America realizes just how much she stands to lose - and how hard she' ll have to fight for the future she wants.

Short Round's 10th Birthday

I cannot believe that my little one is about to be in double digits. He turns 10 tomorrow and I'm just so not ready for this.

Disney World

We leave tomorrow to go visit the most magical place on Earth. Will it be the same as it has during past trips? No, but we need something to keep us going. It's been a rough year for us and we need this happy moment. Not to mention that we will be celebrating our youngest kiddo's birthday at Disney.

Is Garden Grill Worth It?

Photo found via Google Search I feel that this particular restaurant for many at Disney World is hit or miss and the reasons for this theory are numerous. We have eaten there three times before and to be honest this was a restaurant that we agreed was one we would like to keep in our rotation but not one to do every trip to Disney. We like to try new restaurants when we go every year. Well in June of 2017 we were planning a very large vacation with my parents and my best friend's family. We had 10 people going to Disney World together. A large party right? A large party at Disney should be a nightmare but that was not the case with Disney. So it should not be surprising that Disney handled our party easily. 6 adults and 4 children. The children's ages were in the range of 5 through 8. Two boys and two girls. My husband and I had the two boys, at the time their ages were 8 and 5. My best friend and her husband had the two girls, at the time their ages were 6 and 7. It wa

How Our Waitress at Mama Melrose Made Our Night Better

Photo found via Google A few years ago, 2016 to be exact, we took a trip to Disney World just the four of us. Usually, we have my parents with us when we go because the extra eyes on my two boys are always helpful because the little one still likes to bolt occasionally. However, this particular trip my parents were unable to travel down at the same time with us and my husband and I were really wanting to take the kids still. So we decided what the heck we'll take them by ourselves. They are our kids after all. So we packed up the car the night before leaving. Doodlebug had to go to school the next morning. It was his last day of school for the year for him at least. He had an awards ceremony that we were going to be in attendance too. He was so excited to be getting his little award for A-B honor roll. Anyways, let's fast-forward a bit into our trip. We were in Hollywood Studios we were sitting down to the Indiana Jones show with plenty of time to still spare to get to ou

5 Ways to Keeping Your Sanity at Disney

I've seen many posts about how to plan the best vacation and I just wanted to touch base on keeping your sanity. I know that some of these tips are going to turn heads in some way because they will go against some of the advice other bloggers put out there. These are things that we have discovered over the course of eight back to back years of two trips a year. Some of the advice you will probably have seen somewhere else and I'm just repeating it because it works for us as well. So let's get on with this! 1. You know I'm always seeing things about how you should have a schedule for your day at the parks and while that seems like a great idea, in theory, I think a schedule is where your sanity starts to slip away. I'm going to tell you right now straight out the gate that nothing will go according to that perfectly crafted down to the minute schedule that you have probably taken so many hours perfecting. There are things like rain to take into account that happens

Disney Restaurants we Want to Try Part 1

There are so many restaurants at Disney to try and of course, you can only do so much during one trip. My family has a pretty set list when we go to Disney. It's hard to try everything during that one trip. However, back to that setlist, we are pretty set in the restaurants that we like to visit. There will be reviews for those. The table services that we enjoy are good, actually, great ones to us. However, there are fifteen restaurants that we would like to try. However, for today's post, I'm going to post five of them. If you have tried any of them please let us know what you think of them. Good? Bad? Is it Okay? These are in no particular order. Let's get started! 1.) T-Rex This restaurant is located in Disney Springs and because this is located in Disney Springs you do not need a Disney Park ticket. There are no characters at this meal, however, if you have been to Rainforest Cafe (we recommend the one outside of Animal Kindom not the one at Disney Springs)

All-Star Movies Resort Review

So you are going to Disney World and you are curious about the All-Star Movies Resort! Well, look no further... well look for more opinions honestly but stop and take a read of what I've experienced first hand from All-Star Movies Resort. So let me start off by saying we drive 8+ hours every year we go just to get down there. My kids are troopers let me tell you. They are amazing in the car. We had to go to an award ceremony for Doodle Bug before we could leave for our trip two years ago and so we got a later start than we usually do of 3-4 in the morning. We left by about 10:00 am Central Time which is 11:00 am Eastern Time. Now my husband loves to joke that I race the GPS. I do not race the GPS... I just merely think that the time it gives me for an ETA is a suggestion that is to be proven wrong. Okay, I don't really race the GPS. I am a much safer driver than that with two children in the car. So let me tell you about our stay at this particular resort. We got there arou

4th of July

For everyone in the US. I hope you had a safe and happy 4th. For those of you not in the US. I know it was just a normal day for you, but I hope you had a great day.

June Wrap

Well I was pretty true to my word. I did not read a book at all this month. I kept them away from my mind. I was able to just relax. I was not focused on anything really. I was able to just be. I spent time with my husband before he started working again. I enjoyed that a lot. I was able to just spend a lot of time just being. Getting the house cleaned up and things like that. I hoped that I might pick something up randomly but I did not. I don't even think I was really feeling any particular genre. I have so many different genres that are on my shelves that I could have picked anything but nothing called to me really at the time. I've slowly started to pick up books and I've been happy to start thinking about reading again.
