Upcoming Series-Baker's Corner

So this morning I did not post anything but never fear there will be two posts today it's just that this one is happening a little late. I mean there will be times that post could be early or even hours late. I mean I am after all doing things as they come to me. However, last night I decided that I really wanted to get back in the kitchen again. I love being in my kitchen when the mood really hits me. And there are sometimes weeks where I want to be doing other things than being in my kitchen. I mean what mom wants to spend her life in the kitchen all day every day? But I digress for just a second, today is one of those days I want to be in the kitchen. I want to bake something. Cook something. It's just one of those things today.

So I decided that if I was going to do that I was going to make a series of post about it. I mean we all find that amazing recipe on Pinterest that we would love to try and last night as I was going through pins I found a ton of things that I would love to try so why not? Right? So I decided that this morning I was going to get in my kitchen and see if I had any of the ingredients that some of these recipes were going to require and low and behold I actually have some of these things on hand!

However, first things first I have to get my kitchen back in order. My kids, Lord knows that I love them, have decided that their 9 pm bedtime is not when they are going to be going to bed. No, they believe that they can go in their rooms and play until they fall asleep. Well, that's a problem for this momma as she tries to stay awake until they both fall asleep. Which means last night the dishes didn't get loaded or started. I know how horrible! Now, Doodlebug was amazing he unloaded the dishwasher for me yesterday. And without being asked to. Le gasp!

Anyways, I've got to get them back into a normal bedtime routine before they are up all night and sleeping all day. So this morning before waking them I decided to get my kitchen back in working order. Only to decide I was going to mess it back up with trying some new things in my kitchen this morning and oh my gosh let me tell you the smell of baking bread in the morning is amazing. I forgot how much fun baking bread is. I mean I used to do it in high school to help around the house because of my parents' hobby but I soon grew very tired of doing it. I didn't want to do it anymore because hello I was a teenager and had a boyfriend. I wanted to do normal teenager things.

Again I've gone off topic. The whole point of this particular blog is to tell you about a new segment that I wanted to do for you. It will honestly have many names over the course of it's run. Baker's Corner. Cooking Corner. Drink Corner, if I decide to try a few beverages along the way. I hope that this is a series that you will all enjoy and keep coming back for more. If you find a recipe that you haven't tried yet but would like me to try please drop it in the comments.  I am more than willing to give most things a try once. If you've found a recipe that you enjoy also please do not hesitate to share it in the comments as well. I'm always looking for new things for my family to try.

Now on to a new adventure of trying things. I look forward to you joining me on this adventure along with the one I call motherhood!

August Wrap

Let's just go ahead and jump right on into it. The One by Kiera Cass Book 3 of 5 Page: 323 Published: June 5, 2014 Rating: 5 out of 5 stars Synopsis: When she was chosen to compete in the Selection, America never dreamed she would find herself anywhere close to the crown - or to Prince Maxon's heart. But as the end of the competition approaches, and the threats outside the palace walls grow more vicious, Ameica realizes just how much she stands to lose - and how hard she' ll have to fight for the future she wants. My Opinion: So much happens in this book. Just so much. I wanted to hate America so much for a short time. I wanted to but no matter how much more I read I could not hate her I just could not. And after a little while one of my most hated characters throughout the trilogy I could not hate either. I just couldn't. I wanted to but the more the book went on and the more things happened I ended up loving my most hated character even more. By the time the book ende

2022 Goals

So, let's jump right into it. I've set some goals for the year and I'm pretty well positive that they may be a little unrealistic. Hey, I'm nothing if not positive when it comes to my reading. I like to try and say I'm definitely going to get this done only to know I'm not going to get this done. I would say that this is not a bad habit but I know pretty well that this is in fact a bad habit. It's a bad habit that I probably need to kick but I'm just so consistent with it. So let's talk about those goals real quick. I want to make the attempt to read at least 52 books. They can be anything. I'm going to be picky. They can be short stories, full novels, manga, graphic novels, the sky is the limit when it comes to reading. I mean I'm not putting a limit on the type. However, I've got some smaller goals that I'd like to look at accomplishing as well and they will be accomplished with my big goal of 52 books. I want to read about 10 to 15
