365 Days Movie Review
I have to start off with saying that this movie does have English and Polish spoken throughout the movie. If that is not something you yourself think you will like this movie is not for you. This movie does have triggering themes. Please check your triggers. However, one trigger is kidnapping because our main female character is in face kidnapped.
We also have mafia themes included with this as well. So let's talk about how Lara is not exactly in the best relationship to begin with. It sucks her boyfriend in my opinion is an asshole who just likes the fact that he's got some amazing arm candy. That's what it feels like he is doing because when she is trying to engage him in activity he reminds her about her 'poor' heart. Yes, she does have a heart condition but adult activities should not bother it that badly.
What are you hiding Martin? Hmmm
We then find them leaving for Italy the next morning. They get to the hotel and they are drinking outside. She then says she needs to use the restroom and goes searching for it this when we get our next glimpse of Massimo. And that ever popular question, "Are you lost baby girl?" *swoon maybe*
I don't want to go into a full review if you haven't seen it but heck let's get into some more dirt. Now, I'm not one usually for a kidnapping plot when it comes to a romance novel. Or smut if you will but for some reason this one did not bother me much. I have been broadening my horizons when it comes to reading. I try not to judge things to much. Reading like movies is an escape.
Massimo successfully kidnaps Lara after a fight with Martin. He left her in the hotel sleeping while he went on their adventure. She was not happy about this and left the hotel. Walking to clear her head. She gets a bit lost and well one thing leads to another and she ends up in a room at Massimo's place. So many things happen that again I don't want to give away to much.
One thing that I do want to point out is that Stockholm Syndrome is real and that it does feel a bit like Stockholm Syndrome. Obviously it is but still you don't always want to label things without knowing the full story. There are two more books/movies after this. However, it is obviously Stockholm Syndrome.
She starts falling in love with him when he rescues her from drowning. I have to admit that I see why she did fall in love with him because he rescued her. If someone saved me from drowning then yes I would be grateful. I would want friendship with that person. But I wouldn't do any of the things that she did. That started to also feel like what is known as instalove.
Maybe I've give you a bit of a taste of the movie and you want to give it a go now. Go ahead give it a try if you can get past all the sex. There's lots of it after the rescue from drowning scene.
